Lightsource BP had grown rapidly, expanding into new regions and scaling its global workforce to over 1,200 employees. While this growth created exciting opportunities, it also introduced challenges around consistency, adaptability, and ensuring employees had the confidence and skills to challenge processes and drive improvement.


Culture and ways of working are harder to shift than processes. Embedding agility requires mindset change and a shared language across the organisation. To achieve this, Lightsource bp partnered with PBI to introduce Business Agility in two stages: an awareness programme to build a common foundation and a 1-day Business Agility course to equip employees with deeper knowledge, practical tools, and confidence to apply agility in daily work.


Together, these initiatives created global alignment, engaged employees to challenge the status quo, and laid the foundation for smarter, leaner, and more collaborative ways of working.

Project Scope


  • Delivered a 90-minute Introduction to Business Agility awareness module to all employees via the Learning Hub


  • Developed and delivered a 1-day Business Agility course, presented regionally to accommodate time zones

1. Awareness Phase

  • Designed a 90-minute Business Agility presentation with professional voice-over.
  • Published on the Lightsource Learning Hub, accessible to all employees.
  • Issued certificates upon completion to reinforce value and accountability.


2. Knowledge and Application Phase

  • Built a comprehensive 1-day Business Agility course with a detailed presentation pack, case studies, and practical exercises.
  • Delivered regionally to accommodate global time zones, encouraging participant discussion and sharing of experiences.
  • Facilitators connected agility concepts directly to business context, embedding relevance.
  • Included follow-up sessions to help employees apply insights to their areas.
